Titus 3:4-8 - But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.Summary
Titus is instructed to authoritatively teach and organize the believers on Crete. He is to emphasize three areas - local church organization and function, doctrinal instruction, and the use of doctrine. For ensuring relationships within the church are godly , Paul commands that their behaviour be exemplary due to the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
