Jesus came and told His Disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make Disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new Disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
We know from the New Testament record, that the sacrament of baptism is commanded for all people who believe in Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38). We also know that it naturally followed after conversion (Acts 2:37; Acts 10:47; Acts 16:33). In this Podcast we explore questions such as What does baptism mean? What is baptism? Who is baptism for? What format should baptism take?
If you have not been baptized and would call yourself a Christian, then we would suggest that if you are able to, you go and ask your church leader about how you can undergo this vital part of Christian life.
Come and explore the topic of Baptism by downloading and listening to the podcast!

“34 ‘A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’”
(John 13:34-35)
Jesus Christ called people to follow him and to be His disciples. He calls people today in the 21st century to be His disciples and follow Him. What were the three primary sources for Christian Discipleship as evidenced in the New Testament? Fundamentally, what is a Christian Disciple? What are the hallmarks of being a Christian Disciple, a disciple of Jesus Christ?
Let’s explore these questions together, download and listen to the podcast!

“25 ‘Know and understand this: from the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven “sevens”, and sixty-two “sevens”. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two “sevens”, the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: war will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one “seven”. In the middle of the “seven” he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” (Daniel 9:25-27)
Today we are looking at the word “Christ” or as given here by Daniel, "Anointed One". What does the word mean? What association does it have with the Law of Moses and with King Solomon? How did it become associated with Jesus? What do the likes of Paul, Peter and John understand of the word and associating it with Jesus? To discover the answers to those questions and more, download and listen to the podcast!

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
(Psalm 23)
Are you ready for a new day at home, at the office, or at college or in the factory or at a desk? God has you there in that place for a reason. As a Christian, you are a light shining for Jesus and will make an impact upon someone’s day today as you come into contact just your presence in the same room. 1 Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. 2 ‘Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?’ they asked. ‘Hasn’t he also spoken through us?’ And the LORD heard this.
3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.) (Numbers 12:1-3)
Yesterday, we looked at serving God where ever you are with a clear conscience. How are you geting on with doing it?
Today we look at a follow on from that to meekness. What is meekness? Isn’t meekness, merely weakness? That’s what we are told often enough by people outside the church. Yet meekness is not weakness. Meekness is giving up our personal rights to God alone.

G'day! It is perhaps a sad fact of church life that very rarely do we hear the stories about the minor women characters of the Bible. These people from the Bible, are like you and I, and we have lessons to learn from them. They have a lot to teach us. Today we are looking at a woman from Judges 4 & 5, who you may not have heard about! Her name is Yael (also know as Jael) from Judges 4 & 5.
“Yael shall be blessed above women, the wife of Heber the Kenite; blessed shall she be above women in the tent. (Judges 5:24)
Yael is mentioned in one place and 5 times in the Bible. Yet as was we read in the book of Judges, she was accorded great honour and blessing? Why is that? Come on in, download the Podcast tofind out why!

Readings and Prayers of Lament
25. Psalm 139, Psalm 141 and Psalm 142
I am sure you are aware that we are in the grip of the Corona Virus pandemic. With that in mind, in this series leading up to Easter, where we are reading Scripture together, particularly Psalms of lament and repentance as well as the book of Lamentations. As each Scripture is read, listen in an attitude of prayer, and perhaps repeat the words to yourself. Feel the very raw emotions of the words and agony of the original writer and at the heart of God Himself. Yet also listen out for those little words of joy and hope that are hidden within. Then after listening, pray to God using that piece of Scripture.

Today we are reading and praying together Psalm 139, Psalm 141 & Psalm 142.
Psalm 139
1 You have searched me, LORD,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Psalm 141
1 I call to you, LORD, come quickly to me;
hear me when I call to you.
2 May my prayer be set before you like incense;
may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.
Psalm 142
1 I cry aloud to the LORD;
I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy.
2 I pour out before him my complaint;
before him I tell my trouble.

Today we are reading and praying Psalm 61, Psalm 64, Psalm 70 & Psalm 71 together.
Psalm 61
1 Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.
2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.
Psalm 64
1 Hear me, my God, as I voice my complaint;
protect my life from the threat of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked,
from the plots of evildoers.
3 They sharpen their tongues like swords
and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.
4 They shoot from ambush at the innocent;
they shoot suddenly, without fear.
Psalm 70
1 Hasten, O God, to save me;
come quickly, LORD, to help me.
2 May those who want to take my life
be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin
be turned back in disgrace.
Psalm 71
1 In you, LORD, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame.
2 In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
turn your ear to me and save me.
3 Be my rock of refuge,
to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.
4 Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,
from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.
