Reflecting upon the life of Jesus Christ, I see that in his interaction with people he exhibits his uniqueness. But his uniqueness goes beyond these encounters!
Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God— the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake. (Romans 1:1-5)
Jesus is unique - totally and completely unique. Jesus Christ is the standout person from all of history. In all of human history, Jesus Christ is incomparable. What does that mean for you today? Download and listen to the Podcast to find out more!

As I reflect upon the life of Jesus Christ, as given to us through the Gospels, I see that in his interaction with people he exhibits his loveliness. An example of this is found in
As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.”
The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.”
Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked.
“Lord,” they answered, “we want our sight.”
Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him. (Matthew 20:29-34)
Jesus Christ oozes loveliness. I am sure you would agree! How can this knowledge be a help to you in your life as one of Jesus’ disciples today? How are you doing in this area of your Christian life? Download and listen to the Podcast to find out more!

God's love in the Bible is seen as unfailing, everlasting, intimate, sacrificial, unbreakable, all-conquering, personal, great, immeasurable and all-knowing. This is seen supremely in the Cross of Jesus Christ, when He died for the sins of the world. Supreme love overcoming all that is not love. Even when great acts of evil are committed in the world, love is all around. Love continues despite such acts. How are Christians to respond to this love of God? The apostle John gives us a clue when he writes:
“ If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." (1 John 4:15-16)

“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them." (John 14:21)
As a Christian you are to be a little Jesus. A little Jesus in your local community, wherever you happen to live, work, study or be. You are to live a life of obedience, of and to, Jesus Christ. For you are being transformed by the Holy Spirit who lives inside you. You are to be totally and willingly obedient to Him. Obedience, not out of some kind of slavish duty or ritual, but an obedience borne from willingly loving God and loving others.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
Are not those truly amazing words for somebody to say? Not just anybody could say them. If the person who said them couldn’t actually fulfil that promise, that would be one of the biggest hoaxes in all of history. But Jesus Christ is no hoax and he is able to fulfil those words and live up to the promises he makes. He is totally trustworthy.
We naturally don't like to depend on other people or to ask for help. We are trained as children to be independent and not to rely on anybody else for anything ever. But this is contrary to what Jesus is about. To rely fully on ourselves for all things is to walk by sight and commit the sin of pride. To rely on Jesus and ask Him for help in all things is to walk by faith and with humility. True independence and freedom comes from being dependent on Jesus Christ and not being held back by anything or anyone else, such as family and our own wealth and possessions.

“How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God.” Hebrews 9:14
Every person has a conscience. Many people, some Christians included, nurse a guilty conscience owing to holding onto animosity or wrongs done to them or having done wrong things to others. As a consequence, their life is filled with turmoil and bitterness. You may well be like that. I don’t know.
What I do know, is that your conscience is the faculty which is sensitive to right and wrong, and judges your actions and attitudes. Everybody has a conscience and all are sensitive to spiritual truths, whether they are immediately aware of it or not.

G'day! This time of COVID gives us certain challenges, as do other circumstances. How and in what circumstances are you trusting God?
“but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:32-33
“You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40
We look, as ever, at the example of Jesus Christ. How did Jesus trust in God the Father? Jesus trusted the Father in and for all aspects of His life. How are you doing? Do you have concerns and areas of your life where you need an assurance that God the Father will help you? Listen to the podcast for some simple steps which may help you maintain your trust in God.

"‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.’" John 14:1-4
What is heaven like? People, both believers and non-believers have an opinion about Heaven! To some its where everybody will meet up after death providing they weren’t too bad in this earthly life! The caricature of the comedians is that heaven will be floating around on clouds and playing a harp! What does this mean now? What does the Bible actually say about heaven? Who will be there? How do people get to heaven? Come and listen to the podcast to find out more!

“God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9
I don’t know how your weekend went, but I had a weekend that I want to forget quickly! It could be said that I did not have a peaceful weekend dealing with situations that arose unexpectedly. I am at peace now but was not at the time! I had this little voice inside me repeatedly saying “Trust me… Be at peace with yourself.” The Holy Spirit was ministering to me amidst the turmoil despite my often not wanting to hear that!
All over the world, the majority of people share a common desire for peace! But what is peace? Come and listen to the podcast to find out more about the Christian, true peace and being peacemakers!

"But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36-37)
Jesus, our Master, took the use of words seriously. From the Gospel accounts, Jesus’ words encouraged others gently towards paths of right living. He spoke words of love, kindness, rebuke, forgiveness, encouragement and blessing upon and to others! Jesus is to be our guide and Master in the use of thoughts and words. As part of our living as followers of Jesus, this is something which has the capability of affecting every person on the planet.
Come and listen to the podcast to find out more about Jesus, our use of words and what that can mean for you and all those we interact with.
