I Fell In Love With Jesus
by Meagan (recited by Jenny)
~
I fell in Love with Jesus as I began to pray
He came to me in a moment when I called on His Name
I fell in love with Jesus
and in my heart I heard Him say
“My daughter, I have loved you before you were ever born
and now I am so happy
that you have taken notice of my love for you
and how much you are adored!”
~~~~~
I fell in love with Jesus
as I began to praise and
worship Him as my Saviour
and fell on my knees to pray
I fell in love with Jesus
with my hands raised
to reach up to Him for help
and was given more than I can say
~~~~~
He has changed my whole heart
inside and out and
filled the empty spaces with His Love
I cried and cried
to asked His forgiveness
for not realizing it before
of how much He sacrificed
to make my life worth living for
~~~~~
He showers me with love
like a spring time rain
and gives me all I ask Him for
by the power of His name!
He holds me close
whenever I'm unsure
and tells me that He's there for me
and will always stay the same
~~~~~
I fell in love with Jesus
and I gave him all of me
He took what I gave
and made me into something
I could never be without Him
I was nothing according to the word
but with Him I am loved
completely and wonderfully free

Restoration
by Jim Harris
~
He restores my soul!
By gracious means he makes me whole,
receives, reshapes, renews, restarts
my inward life, whose several parts
by disobedience and neglect
had run aground, completely wrecked.
~
He brings me back!
Directs me to the safest track.
In subtle ways he turns me round
and takes me back to well-trod ground;
the paths I learned at first to walk,
the words I used at first to talk.
~
He lights my fire!
Rekindles in me strong desire
to worship him with all my heart,
and not withhold a single part
from serving him and loving him,
my Shepherd, Saviour, and my King.

Hello! My name is Jim Harris! This poem, which I’ve called “Restoration”, was written when I was in France in 2003. Struggling to read the Bible in French I was made aware of the subtleties in that seemingly simple word ‘restores’, found in Psalm 23, verse 3 ‘He restores my soul’. Here’s what I wrote about that word at the time. ‘The word ‘restore’ carries more than one meaning. A ‘restaurant’ is where you replenish your energy levels by taking food. Restore also means to put something back into its original condition, or someone back into a broken relationship. It can also be used for stirring something into life, like the old coal fires we used to have. These three verses, based on Psalm 23:3, ‘He restores my soul’, try to reflect these three ideas about our relationship with the Good Shepherd.’ You can view more of Jim's verse at his website ~

Mary's Story
~
What a Friend We Have in Jesus
What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer.
John 3:16 - God loved the world this way:
He gave his only Son
so that everyone
who believes in him
will not die
but will have
eternal life.

I Have Decided To Follow Jesus
as sung by K
~
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.
~
Tho' none go with me, I still will follow,
Tho' none go with me I still will follow,
Tho' none go with me, I still will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.
~
My cross I'll carry, till I see Jesus;
My cross I'll carry till I see Jesus,
My cross I'll carry till I see Jesus;
No turning back, No turning back.
~
The world behind me, the cross before me,
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
No turning back, no turning back.

“‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Matthew 11:28-29 (New International Version)
Come
by Sue Goodall
~
''Come,'' He said.
''I love you,'' He said.
~
As I felt myself steadily led
To the place at His feet where -
In my head;
In my heart;
In my soul;
I knew so well.
This was the place I should always have been.
~
''Come,'' He said.
''I love you,'' He said.
''I come,'' I said
''I love you,'' I said.

Aspects of Covenantal Love

Introduction
Two weeks ago, we started this journey together at Song of Solomon 2:3-14 and Life under the Apple Tree. We saw together that Jesus, the tremendous lover, wants to hear the voice of His people and to be their king. Then last week, we continued the journey, looking at Song of Solomon 5:9 - 6:9. There we saw together that Jesus is the best of the best and that Jesus is altogether lovely in every aspect - his birth, life, ministry, death, resurrection, ascension, exultation, holiness, glorification, grace, protection, tenderness, power, wisdom, vengeance, judgment, redemption and pardon! Altogether: lovely and glorious. There are 3 main ways to interpret this book. Firstly as a story about the joys of biblical love between a man and woman. That bit even I can see. Some would say that it was erotic, but as a white Australian male, I just don't see it! Secondly, the earliest commentators and readers saw it as an allegory about God's love for His people Israel, particularly with their coming Messiah in mind. The third way shows that this Song of Songs speaks not only on a physical level about the importance of human love and intimacy between a man and a woman, but also the intimacy that exists, blossoms and grows between a person and Jesus Christ. Martin Luther called it the "noblest of all songs". Historically this book has been interpreted in 3 ways We move on tonight, to perhaps, what could be considered the key verses of this book. The couple have now entered a covenantal relationship - a relationship committed to one another. So please do open your bibles and turn to page XXX and let us read the Song of Solomon 8v5-7.These three verses are the key verses of the Song of Solomon or the Song of Songs as other people call it. As the couple, the Lover and the Beloved, have now entered into a Covenant of love, we are, tonight, going to look at 4 Dimensions of Covenantal Love. A Covenant is a contract - a promise. Throughout Old Testament history, God had made covenants with people - people such as Adam, Noah, Abraham and Moses. The original readers and commentators would have known that and understood that. With that insight, we are going to ask together 4 questions about Covenant Love - Who? When? Why? How? Read the rest of this entry »Thursday Nov 08, 2012
Worship - Light of Mine
Thursday Nov 08, 2012
Thursday Nov 08, 2012
As we trust Jesus, and live in obedience to him, it is natural for our light to shine for God... How is your light for God shining to those outside the Kingdom of God?
This Little Light of Mine
Gotta keep on moving,
keep on moving
with some energy!
~
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
~
Yeah, this little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
~
Jesus, he gave me light,
So I'm gonna let it shine,
alright I said Jesus,
he gave me light
So I'm gonna let it shine, alright
~
I won't hide it under a bushel tree
Where nobody, nobody else can see
I won't hide it under a bushel tree
Where nobody, nobody else can see.
~
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, yeah
~
Yeah, this little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
~
Satan, he'll try to take away your light
Every single day. I said Satan,
he'll try to take away your light
Every single day.
~
I won't hide it under a bushel tree
Where nobody, nobody else can see
I won't hide it under a bushel tree
Where nobody, nobody else can see.
~
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, yeah
Yeah, this little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, yeah
~
Hey, hey, yeah, oooooooooooooooooooh
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, yeah
Yeah, this little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, yeah
~
Gotta keep on moving,
keep on moving with some energy
This little light of mine,

This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
