Dear Lord, we lift up to your loving care all the people of Japan; those directly caught up in the devastation having lost friends, family, neighbours and homes; those watching from afar as the news unfolds; and those working to bring aid, support and rescue to those who need it. We ask for your blessing, grace and mercy to prevent any further destruction or damage. Father God, the scale of this disaster is beyond our comprehension, but we thank you that you are there with each and every one of your precious sons and daughters. Please bring home safely all those visiting Japan. In your great mercy, we lift these prayers to you in the name of your son, our saviour, Jesus Christ [’]

Loving God, the scale of this disaster is beyond comprehension. Help us remember that every person of the thousands and thousands affected is someones mum, dad, daughter or son or friend. Praying for strength and wisdom for all involved. Hold those affected in your hands Lord, as you hold us all. Amen

Praying for wisdom, clarity and stability when the immediate reaction must be to panic. Praying for all trying to bring relief in whatever way to the thousands now homeless, without food, not knowing where a loved one is. Lord, in thy mercy, hear our prayers and let our cries come unto thee.

Deprofundis: Lord I cry for those in the depth of despair, those whom have lost people they love, their homes and possessions nothing in comparison to human life. Please send the right aid and help, specifically for the radiation leaks, Lord intervene and prevent melt down. You Lord are the Creator of the Stars and the Sun, which has sustained us safely on this planet with radiation. Forgive us if we have abused your Creation, the earth and all her glory are yours Lord. Protect your people. Give those not affected hearts and minds to support in thoughts and prayers, financial and practical aid. The sharing of news on today’s media brings home the stark realities of human frailty. Empower those now with compassion, that sacrifice of pure love. Dear God, the hearts of the Japanese people are very heavy; to them their losses are seemingly insurmountable, but all that is because many of them do not know You, nor Your Son. So, while I do pray that You will bless the land of the rising sun with a new beginning—with restoration, peace, and prosperity, and while I do pray that You will ease the Japanese people’s sorrow, will cheer them up, and will encourage them to keep moving forward, and while I do pray that through Your miracles, signs and wonders You will show Yourself as the mighty, merciful, loving and gracious God that You are, I also pray for the spiritual welfare of the Japanese people. I have been watching the news and I can see the Lord doing things…He is there all around you and if He reach for HIm He will bring you through this storm…There is nothing God cannot do.I am praying you will seek Him first and trust only Him to lead you through this terrible storm…I see the pictures and I know it is so much more worse than those pictures..but I have a God that can overcome all this and who will see you through all this and He wants you to come to Him and love and trust Him…He will not leave you ever!!! Praying that His grace is upon all in Japan even to those who do not believe..that He will pour His grace upon all and heal this country!! Bless and protect the 50 brave souls still working to cool the reactors at such grave risk. Shield these islands from further earthquake at this time. My heart felt sentiments and prayers go out to everyone who was affected by the earthquake, tsunami and now the nuclear threat.

My prayers are that somewhere, in the midst of it all, that the Peace of Almighty God will bring comfort. I realize how frightening this must be, just by what I’ve seen, yet I also realize that the images on television are minimal, compared to what you all are experiencing first hand.

Dear Heavenly Father, Once again, we come before You, with burdened hearts. Father, we know that You are in control, always. You know the plans You have for us, to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us hope and a future. Father, You know the terrible earthquake and resulting tsunami that has destroyed part of Japan. We know Father, that You did not cause this, but You allowed it, for whatever purpose You have in mind. Father, we know that You can provide for the needs of each person in Japan, in fact, everywhere in the world. We pray it is Your will to provide food, water, housing, medical treatments and medications for all. We know Your will is always done, so we pray it is Your will for this and for all to come to Christ in Japan and throughout the world, for You wish that none should perish. We are asking this in Jesus’ precious name. You told us that whatever we ask in Jesus’ name, You will give us the desire of our heart, if it is Your will and if we stand in belief, forgiving those who have hurt us. So, once again, we trust in You and thank You, in advance. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

1-3 I waited and waited and waited for God. At last he looked; finally he listened. He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn’t slip. He taught me how to sing the latest God-song, a praise-song to our God. More and more people are seeing this: they enter the mystery, abandoning themselves to God.

4-5 Blessed are you who give yourselves over to God, turn your backs on the world’s “sure thing,” ignore what the world worships; The world’s a huge stockpile of God-wonders and God-thoughts. Nothing and no one comes close to you! I start talking about you, telling what I know, and quickly run out of words. Neither numbers nor words account for you.

6 Doing something for you, bringing something to you— that’s not what you’re after. Being religious, acting pious— that’s not what you’re asking for. You’ve opened my ears so I can listen.

7-8 So I answered, “I’m coming. I read in your letter what you wrote about me, And I’m coming to the party you’re throwing for me.” That’s when God’s Word entered my life, became part of my very being.

9-10 I’ve preached you to the whole congregation, I’ve kept back nothing, God—you know that. I didn’t keep the news of your ways a secret, didn’t keep it to myself. My thoughts are with all the people in Japan who have been affected by this disaster. I cannot begin to comprehend how living through this dreadful time can be … I am sending my love and hope for a recovery of sorts from this and to all the people involved XX

When human suffering startles the earth, we dare not claim our God the cause, For God who loves us shares our pain and wills to comfort us in our loss. Yet struggling to believe That God does with us grieve We call out in our prayers, And plead that others share Such needs beyond imagined cost.

Father God, We lift up the people in Japan,We ask that you pour out Your mercy,grace,strength and compassion on them, Father please give these people and their families your peace in double portions. Send your armies of angels to minister to their needs and send all available hands to help, Father comfort each and every person in a supernatural way, touch and comfort each one in a tangible way so they know that they know it was You that touched them, ease all their pain be it physical or emotional, let hope rise up strong in all, Father provide for your people! I Praise you God for the miracles that have happened in the last week in Japan, continue to health strengthen & keep people safe in this stricken land. Stop the nuclear explosions keep people free of radiation Lord God. Protect Japan Lord God , provide homes for the homeless food for the hungry, heal the sick.

We can believe and pray, help, give, seek, love, and we can send our most and best trained to assist in this most hurtful time 4 Japan. Lord God, you and you alone are the giver of life and the taker ofd life, praise and worship your Holy Name God—you and you alone see the past, present, and the future.

We are your hands, your feet, and your voice here on mother Earth and we will continue to do as you tell each one of us to do.
